INSULATION

Insulated house either new or old means less energy to heat and cool and improved comfort for you and your family. It will also reduce the risk of illness from damp, cold and mould. About 10% of a home's heat can be lost through the floor, 24% through the walls and a 40% through the ceiling. Installing quality ceiling, underfloor and wall insulation will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer without soaring power bills. A warm home is healthier too, so you'll be more comfortable, save money and improve the health of your family.

We're experts in home insulation ceiling, underfloor and walls. We give free advice and quotes on the best insulation brands including Knauf insulation, Polyester insulation, Fibreglass insulation and Wool insulation and we've insulated over 10,000 NZ homes. Ceiling and underfloor insulation has been compulsory in all rental homes since 1 July 2019, where it is reasonably practicable to install. Ceiling insulation installed before 1 July 2016 needs to be at least 120mm thick and needs minimum R-value of 2.9. Underfloor insulation needs a minimum R-value of 1.3. Some existing insulation in rental properties will need to be topped up or replaced.

We can help you to save energy and money on your home or rental property today.

Ceiling Insulation

Up to 35% of heat is lost through the ceiling in winter if you have no insulation in Ceiling. Retrofit ceiling insulation will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Insulation for your ceiling is usually the quickest, cheapest and easiest form of insulation and will make a huge impact on your heating bills. Adding more heat without preventing heat loss is an expensive way to address the comfort of your home.

Wall Insulation

Up to 25% of your heat can be lost through the walls in an uninsulated home. Adequate, quality wall insulation is a critical component in the thermal envelope of your home. Many of New Zealand's cold, damp homes are due to little or no insulation in the ceilings, floors and walls.
